Experteer Overview As MILDEC Specialist, SME you will guide deception planning and integration across Indo-Pacific operations. You will shape MILDEC concepts, advise government leadership, and coordinate multi-domain deception efforts with SOF, joint and coalition partners. You’ll link deception with OPSEC, IO, cyber, and logistics to influence adversary decisions and support mission success. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, multinational environment. You will work to drive innovation and operational effectiveness while ensuring compliant, disciplined deception operations. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and integrate MILDEC plans for operations, contingencies, exercises, and crises * Advise Government leadership on MILDEC doctrine, planning methodologies, and employment * Create deception objectives, adversary perception targets, deception stories, and execution plans * Coordinate MILDEC with OPSEC, IO, PSYOP/MISO, cyber, EW, space, and intelligence activities * Conduct adversary analysis to identify vulnerabilities and deception opportunities * Participate in JPP activities, mission analysis, COA development, and synchronization events * Develop deception assessments, operational recommendations, risk analyses, and executive briefings * Coordinate with Combatant Commands, Service Components, SOF, coalition partners, and interagency * Support rehearsals, wargames, exercises, and experimentation involving deception planning * Assess effectiveness of deception and adjust for better outcomes * Ensure MILDEC activities comply with authorities, policy, doctrine, and guidance * Develop SOPs, planning templates, training materials, and lessons learned * Mentor government personnel on deception planning techniques * Support contingency operations and rapid deception integration for emergent missions * Promote innovation and continuous improvement across deception planning Tasks * Minimum 15 years of MILDEC, intelligence operations, operational planning, IO, or SOF experience in Government or DoD * Experience supporting DoD, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Service Components, SOF, or IC operations * Proven ability to develop and integrate MILDEC plans for operational/contingency/exercise planning * Experience integrating MILDEC with OPSEC, IO, MISO/PSYOP, cyber, EW, and intelligence support * Experience in JPP, MDMP, or equivalent planning methodologies * Experience briefing senior Government leadership and operational commanders on deception planning * Extensive knowledge of Joint doctrine, MILDEC principles, operational art, intelligence analysis, and multidomain operations * Bachelor’s degree in related field; Master’s desirable * Experience with Indo-Pacific operations and multinational coalition planning (desirable) * Experience using guidance and planning tools such as JADOCS, GCCS-J, JIPOE, ArcGIS, CIDNE, Palantir, Power BI, SharePoint, and MS 365 (desirable) * Graduate-level programs in JIOPC/JAWS/SAMS or equivalent (desirable) * Experience integrating deception with logistics and contested environments (desirable) * Experience coordinating with multinational, coalition, and interagency partners (desirable) Key requirements * flexible time off * robust learning resources * healthcare and wellness benefits * retirement benefits * continuing education * time off benefits
