Senior Software Engineer, Security Platform

Experteer Overview You will design and build secure backend systems to process and protect customer data, enabling authentication, authorization, and privacy-preserving operations. You’ll join the Security Platform team to strengthen data protections while supporting new product capabilities, with close collaboration across security, infrastructure, and product engineering. This role emphasizes impactful work at a fast-moving company adapting to AI-driven use cases. You’ll work in Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA with in-person collaboration a key element of the role. Compensation / Benefits * Build backend services and data pipelines to securely store and route customer data * Develop systems for token issuance, user authentication, and anonymization to support privacy requirements * Define and execute the authentication vision for next-generation AI platforms and MCP ecosystems * Implement data retention and deletion workflows aligned with CCPA and GDPR * Collaborate with access management engineers to enforce least-privilege access controls * Contribute to monitoring and auditing systems that track data access and usage * Support reliability improvements and enable new product capabilities through secure data * Work with cross-functional partners across security, infrastructure, and data systems Tasks * 5+ years of backend, data infrastructure, or security-focused software engineering * Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java * Experience deploying services in AWS and Kubernetes * Experience with distributed systems (databases, messaging, data processing) such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, Spark, or Snowflake * Understanding of data protection principles, encryption, and privacy-focused design Key requirements * Performance-based compensation with equity * 401(k) matching * 100% paid health insurance for employees * Lifestyle wallet benefits * Employer-paid life & disability insurance * Parental leave and generous PTO
