Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will lead AWS-based cloud transformation for an enterprise, designing and operating scalable cloud environments while establishing governance and best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize applications, automate delivery pipelines, and ensure security and compliance. The position emphasizes hands-on leadership, cloud optimization, and mentoring engineers to scale cloud operations. This onsite opportunity in San Diego offers a mission-driven chance to shape enterprise cloud adoption from day one. Compensation / Benefits * Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-scale AWS environments using EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, Route 53, ECS/EKS, and IAM * Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK * Lead cloud migration, modernization, and transformation of enterprise applications * Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools * Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and EKS * Establish monitoring, logging, and observability with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Prometheus, Grafana * Ensure security, governance, compliance, and audit readiness via IAM, encryption, and network controls * Drive cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices * Support disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity planning * Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to engineering teams Tasks * Strong hands-on AWS experience with EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, API Gateway, Route 53, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch * IaC experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK * Linux/Unix administration expertise * CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains * Docker and Kubernetes proficiency * Cloud migration and modernization experience * Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell Key requirements *
