Vice President, Data Protection Management and Governance

Experteer Overview In this role you drive and oversee data protection initiatives across the firm, collaborating with business, technology, legal, and compliance teams. You will shape the data protection program, align it with governance strategy, and report on regulatory programs to senior leadership. You’ll lead cross-functional delivery, build metrics, and enable data-driven decisions while safeguarding internal and external data. Compensation / Benefits * Define and drive project requirements and milestones for data protection initiatives * Deliver on key deliverables and report progress to senior management with actionable recommendations * Prepare and tailor presentations for executive audiences and drive project updates * Participate in workstreams, set agendas, capture minutes, and track actions * Analyze data with Excel and analytics tools to support governance and decision-making * Partner with lines of business, technology, legal, and compliance to implement data protection and access solutions * Monitor enterprise-wide data protection projects across internal and external data; escalate and resolve issues * Leverage visualization tools (Qlik, Tableau) and workflow tools (Alteryx) to visualize data and automate processes Tasks * Bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant experience in data risk management, data protection, or data access governance * Strong written and verbal communication skills capable of explaining complex protection concepts * Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups); experience with Alteryx, Python, or other data integration tools * Proficient with project management tools and presentation software (Word, PowerPoint) * Proficient in data visualization and reporting tools * Experience in Agile environments and defining product requirements with business lines and technology teams * Expertise in project management with ability to drive structure, process, accountability, and delivery within tight timelines Key requirements * comprehensive health care coverage * on-site health and wellness centers * retirement savings plan * backup childcare * tuition reimbursement * mental health support
