Senior Staff Applications Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will support customers and cross-functional teams to enable 112G/224G SerDes and PCIe Gen6+ deployments. You’ll lead design reviews, troubleshoot high-speed interfaces, and shape product roadmaps with engineering and marketing partners. Your work directly impacts silicon bring-up, interoperability, and field performance in AI, data center, and networking applications. You’ll thrive by delivering clear technical guidance and scalable enablement tooling. Compensation / Benefits * Serve as primary technical liaison for strategic customers and lead design reviews and pre-sales support * Debug and resolve complex SerDes, PCIe Gen1-Gen6 issues with SI analysis, eye diagrams and electrical characterization * Collaborate with silicon design, firmware, validation, and marketing to feed product roadmap * Create high-quality application notes, reference designs, user guides, and white papers; train customers and field teams * Design, build and bring-up evaluation boards and reference platforms; conduct SI/PI simulations and protocol tests * Coordinate with Field Application Engineers, Sales, Product Marketing, System Validation and Silicon Development on customer programs * Create and maintain knowledge bases, best practices, and test automation to improve efficiency * Support cross-functional collaboration and customer engagements to drive successful deployments Tasks * Deep knowledge of SerDes, PCIe, and high-speed interfaces; expert in TX/RX, PLL/DLL, CDR; strong signal integrity principles * Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, BERT testers, network/spectrum analyzers; eye diagram and jitter measurements * Understanding of PCB design, SI/PI fundamentals, transmission lines; ability to read schematics and layouts; EMC/EMI concepts * Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation and technical writing * Customer-facing experience with proven relationship building; able to travel onsite as needed * Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across global teams * Self-motivated, autonomous with strong analytical and multi-priority management skills Key requirements * employee stock purchase plan with 2-year look back * family support programs * mental health resources * recognition and service awards
