SITEC - Cloud Engineer - MacDill

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, build, and sustain cloud-based platforms (Azure and AWS Gov) to support USSOCOM missions. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant, and high-availability cloud services in highly regulated environments. You’ll implement DevSecOps practices, infrastructure as code, and automated security controls to enable continuous authorization. This is a mission-critical, 24x7 IT operations role that shapes modern cloud capabilities for defense networks. Compensation / Benefits * Design and operate cloud platforms on Azure and AWS Gov for discriminating defense missions * Implement multi-cloud solutions with strict IAM, encryption, governance, and monitoring * Harden AKS and apply DISA STIG baselines across Azure resources * Author and enforce IaC templates (Bicep/Terraform/ARM) embedding DISA STIG controls * Develop automated provisioning using IaC languages and scripting (Python/PowerShell/Bash) * Build CI/CD pipelines with integrated security scans to enable continuous ATO * Apply Azure Policy/Blueprints aligned to DoD SRG and NIST 800-53 controls * Maintain automated patching and compliance for RHEL/Ubuntu in classified environments * Establish secure on-prem to cloud connectivity (ExpressRoute/Private Link) * Support NetOps, system and network sustainment, and IMAC activities per SITEC-3 EOM * Represent USSOCOM in vendor engagements and communicate technical details to stakeholders Tasks * Total years of experience corresponding to education level (minimum 12 years with HS Diploma) * Active DoD TS/SCI clearance * DoD 8570 IAT II Certification * Minimum 3 years of direct Microsoft Azure or AWS Government with IL distinctions * Experience with cloud security, governance, and compliance in regulated environments Key requirements * salary range provided * overtime eligibility * shift differential * discretionary bonus * competitive benefits (as typical in roles)
