Job description

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the design, implementation and maintenance of secure, scalable and automated cloud environments within a highly regulated Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

You will work closely with Lead Developers, DevOps Leads, Architects, Testers and Product Owners to enable efficient software delivery through automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines and cloud platform management.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with strong experience in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, IaC and cloud infrastructure, with a focus on deployment reliability, operational excellence and continuous improvement., * Develop, maintain and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows.

Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, ARM Templates and/or Terraform.
Configure and maintain Azure cloud resources across Development, Test, UAT and Production environments.
Support automated application deployments, release management and environment provisioning.
Integrate security, compliance and quality controls into DevOps pipelines following DevSecOps principles.
Manage source-control repositories, branching strategies, builds and deployment pipelines.
Support application monitoring, logging, performance management and operational diagnostics.
Collaborate with development and testing teams to improve deployment efficiency and release quality.
Support containerised application platforms using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) where required.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, configuration and environment-related issues.
Ensure cloud and platform configurations comply with organisational and customer security standards.
Maintain technical and operational documentation within SharePoint, Wiki, Git or approved repositories.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
Strong experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Good understanding of CI/CD principles and deployment automation.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly:
Bicep
ARM Templates
Terraform
Strong experience with Git-based version control.
Good understanding of cloud networking, security and identity management.
Experience implementing automated build, deployment and environment-provisioning processes.
Experience with cloud monitoring, logging and observability.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure and deployment environments.
Good understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
