Job description

  • Validate illustration output for numerical accuracy using Excel tools developed by actuarial team members
  • Design strategic test plans for product changes and clearly document and communicate findings and outcomes
  • Collaborate with team members to design, test, and implement calculator enhancements that meet stakeholder needs
  • Conduct ongoing audits and regulatory reviews of illustrations to ensure all versions of the illustrations remain compliant.

Requirements

American Equity is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to join the Client Solutions team. This Illustration Specialist will collaborate with a dedicated team focused on validating, auditing and enhancing the annuity projection tools., * Internship or prior professional experience in financial services, insurance, or a corporate environment is a plus

  • Combination of education and experience or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Experience with navigating within MS Excel
  • Exposure to MS Teams, Word, Outlook and other day-to-day business applications

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to recognize error patterns and effectively communicate issues to the team, * Ability to maintain company attendance, punctuality and dependability standards as stated in the company handbook
  • Ability to work collaboratively and successfully with fellow employees, key stakeholders, and other outside third parties
