Job description
With a focus on product development, youâll work alongside our 10-person Infrastructure Cloud team to design the INIT operating platform and serve as a key point of contact for our Kubernetes infrastructure.
Together with the team, youâll continuously develop the operating platform-for both on-premises and cloud-based customer environments. Drawing on your DevOps experience, youâll maintain, operate, and develop the foundation of our new INIT platform. Automation using tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Ansible is, of course, part of the job. Topics such as scaling, observability, and high availability are also part of your daily routine-weâre counting on your skills and hands-on approach here. Help shape the future with us-apply now and become part of our innovative team! These are some of the tasks weâll tackle together:
- Youâll further develop the INIT operations platform with a focus on the product
- In this role, youâll install and operate OpenShift Kubernetes clusters worldwide in on-premises, hybrid, or cloud environments (Microsoft Azure)
- Youâll evaluate requirements for the operations platform, develop solutions, and keep security aspects in mind throughout the process
- Youâll work closely with our development teams and act as the liaison to coordinate the transition to our new operations platform
- In this role, youâll manage the configuration and automation of our systemsâ deployment using Git and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and oversee the CI/CD pipeline to enable system integrations with other business processes
- In addition, youâll develop guidelines and concepts for users of our operating platform regarding the containerization of software and services-and actively share your knowledge with the teams
Requirements
- A degree in a technical field or comparable qualification
- You have gained initial hands-on experience with the installation and operation of OpenShift clusters. Ideally, you have already had some exposure to ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift)
- You have some experience with Kubernetes as well as Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), deployments, and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, Ansible, or other cloud-native technologies such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, MinIO, or CNPG is a plus-but weâd also be delighted if youâre interested in exploring these topics further with us
- You enjoy learning new technologies, thrive in a team environment, and stand out for your pragmatic, responsible approach to work
- Youâre a strong communicator, enjoy working in a cross-functional role, and maintain a clear overview of the big picture
- Excellent written and spoken German skills are required for communication within the team and across teams. Knowledge of English facilitates communication on an international level
