Experteer Overview In this role, you guide robotics projects from concept to deployment within a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment. You will define requirements, coordinate with leaders and engineers, and apply pragmatic systems engineering to deliver field-ready robotic solutions. Youâll balance technical rigor with agility, tackling multi-project initiatives across industries including defense and automation. You will help transform ideas into impactful, real-world systems while partnering with CMUâs world-class robotics teams. Compensation / Benefits * Define high-level and detailed requirements and establish priorities to drive architectural consensus * Lead effort analysis, issue resolution, change and risk management, and quality assurance using tracking tools and software development systems (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) * Create and maintain documentation and MBSE artifacts across hardware and software domains * Guide and perform engineering tasks including design and trade studies * Support system testing and functional demonstrations * Perform project management tasks (scheduling, staffing, budgeting) for large projects or independently for smaller ones * Contribute to organization-wide methods and standard methodologies for system and project engineering Tasks * Bachelorâs degree in an engineering or related field, or equivalent experience * 1-3 years of professional experience with demonstrated systems engineering skills * Demonstrated success in leading, collaborating within a team * Self-motivated, curious, and focused on continuous improvement * Ability to apply big-picture thinking in task execution * Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Attention to documentation accuracy and information sharing * Energetic, hands-on leadership Key requirements * comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance * retirement savings program with employer contributions * tuition benefits * paid time off and holidays * life and accidental death and disability insurance * transit pass
