DevOps Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role, you will advance DevOps and automation initiatives within HPE Networking, supporting the SCM, Tools, and Release Engineering platforms. You will collaborate with internal and external developers, ensure design conformity, and drive innovation across projects. You’ll scale engineering infrastructure, mentor junior staff, and automate repeatable tasks to improve product quality. This hybrid position lets you impact edge-to-cloud networking solutions while working with cross-functional teams on meaningful problems. Compensation / Benefits * Design and develop across SCM, Tools, and Release Engineering platforms including analysis, coding, testing, and integration * Manage and expand relationships with internal and outsourced development partners * Review designs for compliance with guidelines and provide actionable feedback * Provide domain expertise and software leadership to cross-organization projects * Drive adoption of new technologies and innovations in software design * Mentor junior staff and provide guidance * Manage engineering infrastructure (Jenkins, Jira, etc.) to troubleshoot and resolve issues * Develop DevOps tools and automation using Python * Understand HPE Networking SD-WAN product portfolio * Identify and automate repeatable patterns/tasks * Develop and maintain UI Full Stack applications * Engage with customers to understand problems and tailor tooling * Help scale engineering infrastructure to support growth * Collaborate with team on operational issue resolution Tasks * Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent * Typically 4-6 years of experience * Familiarity with Linux systems, OS hardening, security concepts * Strong programming in Python, Django, JavaScript; experience with MySQL or MongoDB * Experience with build automation, Software Configuration Management, CI systems like Jenkins, GNU Make, Jira, Git * Cloud infrastructure familiarity (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud) is a definite asset * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills * Desire to learn and adapt to new technologies * Experience in software architecture for multi-platform products Key requirements * Health & Wellbeing * Personal & Professional Development * Unconditional Inclusion * Flexibility to manage work and personal needs
