Job description

  • Ensure the development and execution of a complex air defense program that consists of two primary IPTs. This work spans the entire systems engineering workflow including requirements management, system design, test planning, integration, and V&V.
  • Manage/monitor the execution of work scope, determine team staffing allocations, and provide feedback on team execution.
  • Coordinate across organizational disciplines and functions to identify team/work issues, resolve roadblocks and ensure completion of team objectives.
  • Support program execution and growth through continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools.
  • Occasional local and non-local travel.

Requirements

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience developing and executing test plans for air defense systems.
  • Experience with technical and/or functional leadership.
  • Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM), Integrated Master Plan (IMP)/Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, and/or bids/proposals., * Familiarity with air defense systems such as NASAMS, SHORAD, FAAD, BC3 (CAC2S), or similar systems.
  • Experience with systems engineering, system integration, system verification, and/or system test.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and/or Risk and Opportunity Management.
  • Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field supporting integration and/or verification of RF systems while also managing various tasks, requirements, and commitments.
  • Experience with DoD or similar major programs throughout the product lifecycle including compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies.

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.

Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) is seeking a Systems Integration & Test (SI&T) Cross-Product Team (CPT) Lead within the ASDS Product Area. You will be a self-motivated, passionate leader who collaboratively works with IPT and program leaders on the Air Base Air Defense (ABAD) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving execution and efficient engineering practices across development, production, and sustainment programs for Air Base Air Defense and reports directly to the ABAD Program Manager. This role requires strong technical expertise and engineering leadership skills to drive the integration, test, and sustainment of a world-class air defense system. Every day will bring new challenges, requiring you to reprioritize your focus, collaborate across disciplines, and find the path forward to meeting our customers’ needs.
