Software Engineer, ECAD Architect

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and build backend and desktop components for Autodesk’s electronics CAD tools. You will architect cloud-native services on AWS, develop cross-platform tooling, and integrate with third-party APIs to enable high-performance, scalable design workflows. You’ll work across the full development lifecycle and contribute to desktop eCAD features in C++ while ensuring reliable, efficient operations. This is a mission-driven opportunity to shape design software used by electronics engineers. Compensation / Benefits * Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs * Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software and specialized utilities * Analyze user needs and develop software solutions * Design software to optimize operational efficiency * Build distributed, scalable, secure cloud systems on AWS using Node.js * Architect and build high-performance RESTful services for ECAD applications * Integrate with 3rd party APIs and tools for data management and interoperability * Participate in full development lifecycle of backend solutions and client applications * Develop complete eCAD design features for desktop using C++ across editing environments (Schematic Capture, PCB Layout, Library Development, BOM Management, CAM) * Travel to various unanticipated sites in the U.S.; telecommuting permitted Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 8 years of experience in software engineering or related occupation * Alternatively, 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree * Minimum 8 years of experience in listed skills and technologies as specified in the special requirements Key requirements * health benefits * financial benefits * time away * everyday wellness * stock grants * bonuses or commissions for sales roles
