Scientific Software Developer

Experteer Overview In this role you will advance software tools for programmable molecular systems within the Winfree Lab. You will implement features in a differentiable programming model for indexed chemical reaction networks and build interfaces for researchers. You’ll review literature, benchmark performance, and craft documentation and tutorials to support diverse users. You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional research team to refine tools based on scientific needs and user feedback. This position offers an opportunity to shape software that enables cutting-edge molecular programming and contributes to impactful scientific output. Compensation / Benefits * Conduct software development research for molecular programming, focusing on stochastic and deterministic simulation of indexed chemical reaction networks. * Review literature and existing computational tools to inform software design. * Develop documentation, tutorials, and example workflows for diverse researchers. * Collaborate with the research team to apply and refine software tools based on scientific needs. * Evaluate software performance, usability, and reliability via benchmarking and testing against experimental results. * Present research findings and software developments through presentations, publications, and conferences.
