Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer

Experteer Overview As Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you design, operate, and scale Zipline’s core IT platforms to support a global workforce and business operations. You will own architecture and standards for identity, access management, and enterprise SaaS integrations, driving automation and secure, reliable infrastructure. You’ll work across IT, Security, Engineering, and business teams to mature platform patterns that scale with the company’s growth. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong impact on security and operational excellence. Compensation / Benefits * Provide technical ownership and architecture for core IT platforms (Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, related SaaS) * Define and mature RBAC models and provisioning patterns across systems * Design automated joiner/mover/leaver workflows and scalable access provisioning * Architect and troubleshoot API-based integrations between enterprise systems * Manage authentication, SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, access reviews, and RBAC * Develop automation tooling using Python, Bash, APIs * Define standards for infrastructure in AWS or GCP * Oversee mobile device management and endpoint management platforms (MDM) * Develop integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and related patterns * Implement identity federation and provisioning standards (SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OIDC) * Monitor health, security, and performance of critical IT systems and integrations * Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across multiple systems * Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures * Partner with Security and Engineering teams on access controls, logging, and governance * Mentor IT team members and raise operational maturity * Lead technical evaluation and migration efforts for enterprise technologies * Establish design patterns and best practices for IT infrastructure and automation * Serve as technical escalation point for complex IT issues Tasks * 7+ years of professional IT experience * 5+ years administering enterprise infrastructure, SaaS platforms, or identity systems * Hands-on experience with Okta or similar IAM platform * Experience with Google Workspace in a mid-sized or large enterprise * Experience administering Slack or similar enterprise collaboration platform * Hands-on with MDM/endpoint management (Iru, Jamf, Intune, Hexnode) * Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash) * Experience designing and maintaining API integrations between enterprise apps * Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, service accounts, and service-to-service auth * Knowledge of modern identity standards (OAuth, SAML, SCIM, OIDC) and IAM concepts (SSO, MFA, RBAC, provisioning) * Experience automating provisioning using identity attributes, groups, roles, or APIs * Public cloud experience (AWS, GCP) * Ability to troubleshoot cross-domain issues and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders * Strong documentation, runbooks, and operational procedure skills * Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Key requirements *
