Job description

Provide production and non-production Linux/Unix server support.
Manage incidents, service requests, changes, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
Administer RHEL servers, storage, filesystems, LVM, networking, NFS, DNS, and system patches.
Support VMware environments, SAN-attached storage, Oracle ASM, and clustered systems.
Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, vulnerability remediation, and operational troubleshooting.
Support FISMA-aligned security controls, continuous monitoring, remediation, and audit/compliance activities.
Participate in infrastructure projects and automation initiatives.
Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders during incidents, changes, and operational activities.

Requirements

Red Hat Linux (RHEL), Linux System Administration, VMware ESX, LVM, SAN Storage, Oracle ASM, TCP/IP, NFS, DNS, Linux Clustering, FISMA Compliance, Production Support, Incident Management, Change Management, Communication Skills, * 7+ years of Red Hat Linux experience, including standalone and virtual servers, with 4+ years administering RHEL 6/7/8/9/10 and 2+ years of VMware ESX experience.
Strong hands-on expertise with Linux administration, LVM/filesystems, storage, networking, patching, performance tuning, SAN-attached storage, Oracle ASM, and clustered environments.
Experience supporting production systems within FISMA or similarly regulated environments, including security controls, vulnerability remediation, continuous monitoring, and compliance activities.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills are required.

RHCSA certification; Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform experience; experience supporting 500+ Unix servers; healthcare industry experience; ServiceNow/ITIL; GFS2, GPFS, or Veritas Cluster; Bash/KSH scripting; Ansible, Python, Chef, or similar automation/configuration tools; monitoring tools such as Zabbix, VROPS, OME, OneView, and Splunk; and storage/backup technology experience.
