Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, develop, and troubleshoot firmware for HPE server platforms, focusing on firmware systems and related software. You will work within a cross-functional team to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that integrate with hardware and OpenBMC/Yocto environments. You will contribute to testing, debugging, and collaboration with internal and external partners to meet project goals. The position supports hybrid office work and offers opportunities to advance in a culture focused on inclusion, development, and impact. You will help shape firmware that enables secure, scalable manageability across HPE’s edge-to-cloud ecosystem. Compensation / Benefits * Design enhancements and changes to system software components (OS, networking, utilities, databases, and related tools) * Analyze design objectives to determine coding, integration, and testing activities * Create and execute testing plans, identify and debug issues, and suggest improvements * Collaborate with internal and outsourced partners to develop reliable, high-quality firmware subsystems * Communicate design status and progress with stakeholders and resolve issues Tasks * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent * Typically 2+ years of firmware development experience * Strong knowledge of Python, Linux shell scripting, and C/C++ * Experience with memory-safe languages such as Rust * Knowledge of OpenBMC and Yocto build environment * Understanding of low-level Linux drivers and hardware communication protocols (i2c, i3c, CPLD, GPIO) * Experience with software design tools and languages * Awareness of secure software development life cycle and test-driven development * Ability to communicate effectively in English and local languages Key requirements * Health & wellbeing benefits * Professional development programs * Inclusive culture and flexibility
