Job description

We are seeking a Senior Cloud & Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments to join our team. You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-first solutions that power our clients’ businesses - blending Azure, Microsoft 365, and on-premise systems to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure. If you’re passionate about cloud strategy, proactive optimization, and exceeding client expectations in a fast-paced MSP environment, this is your opportunity to make a real impact., * Lead Cloud & Azure Initiatives: Design, implement, migrate, and manage multi-tenant Microsoft Azure environments (IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid setups), including landing zones, networking, security, and cost optimization.

  • Deploy, configure, monitor, and optimize Windows servers in both hosted/on-premise and Azure cloud environments.
  • Administer the full Microsoft 365 suite (Exchange, SharePoint, Entra ID, Teams, OneDrive) with a focus on cloud productivity and security best practices.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, identity, and access controls across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Configure and maintain networking infrastructure (firewalls, switches, access points, DNS, DHCP) with emphasis on Azure networking and secure hybrid connectivity.
  • Build and support virtualization & storage solutions (Azure, VMware, Hyper-V, Dell Storage, Veeam, Datto) with a cloud-first mindset.
  • Troubleshoot SQL/database issues and apply relational database knowledge in cloud-hosted environments.
  • Design, implement, and support full client infrastructure (servers, routers, firewalls, wireless) with proactive cloud modernization recommendations.
  • Deliver escalated support, meet/exceed SLAs, minimize downtime, and drive continuous improvement through cloud automation and best practices.
  • Partner with sales to translate business goals into cloud-enabled technical solutions; act as the trusted advisor on how IT/cloud strategy supports client objectives.
  • Document processes, enter time/expenses/tickets in PSA, follow up with clients, and maintain accurate records.
  • Stay ahead of emerging cloud technologies and proactively recommend innovations that benefit our clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in MSP or enterprise IT, with strong hands-on Azure/cloud engineering.
  • Proven ability to design and manage hybrid cloud solutions while supporting on-prem systems.
  • Service-minded, client-first mindset with excellent business acumen and communication skills.
  • Experience with HaloPSA, ConnectWise (or similar PSA) is a strong plus.
  • Ability to lead projects, multi-task, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-changing team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and follow-through habits., * How many years of hands-on experience do you have with Microsoft Azure (designing, implementing, migrating or managing environments)?
  • This position has the option of being combined with an AI initiative role we’re rolling out. What is your current level of experience or interest in AI technologies (e.g., using Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, AI-driven automation, or exploring generative AI for IT/MSP tasks)?

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
