Senior Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will help build and evolve the CX Labs Platform, a critical toolset for lab management, assets, reservations, and automation across Cisco labs. You will own a broad techn stack from React/TypeScript UIs to Python and GraphQL services, collaborating with product, design, QA, and engineering to deliver secure, reliable features. You’ll translate customer needs into concrete solutions, ensure production readiness, and drive continuous improvement. This is a chance to shape a business-critical platform with impact across the software lifecycle. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and evolve the CX Labs Tool to manage lab environments, assets, reservations, and automation * Own capabilities across React/TypeScript UI, Python services, GraphQL APIs, background workers, and supporting infrastructure * Collaborate with product, design, QA, and engineering; provide technical ownership from design to production support * Design secure, reliable, and maintainable features; translate customer needs into technical solutions * Ensure implementation, testing, deployment readiness, monitoring, and continuous improvement * Create automated tests for features and fixes; diagnose complex issues across apps, databases, messaging, and integrations * Improve performance, resilience, observability, and developer workflows; review code and influence standards * Partner with stakeholders to prioritize work, manage technical tradeoffs, and deliver customer value Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in STEM * 7+ years of production software development, deployment, or maintenance experience * Experience building TypeScript/React apps with reusable components and automated testing (Jest or React Testing Library) * Experience building Python APIs or asynchronous workers with GraphQL schemas/resolvers and pytest tests * Experience with distributed/event-driven systems using PostgreSQL and messaging/caching/ search tech (RabbitMQ, Redis, Solr) and CQRS/event-sourcing patterns Key requirements * medical, dental and vision insurance * 401(k) with company match * paid parental leave * vacation time and holidays * sick time * stock unit grants
