Job description

Meta’s security team is the central engine driving data and system security. We work across all parts of the company, from corporate infrastructure to production to external services, interfacing with nearly every team in the company.We are looking for a Security Engineering Manager to support a team of engineers using AI to scale security across Meta’s products. You’ll support a team of security engineers who specialize in web and mobileOS security. You will be working across engineering teams supporting Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Your team will be developing, deploying, and managing automation to find, fix, mitigate, and prevent vulnerabilities., Security Engineering Manager - AI for Security, web and mobile techstack Responsibilities:

  1. Influence and align the organization’s vision and strategy, while engaging your team to develop and deliver specific, multi-year roadmaps, programs, and projects. Ensure prioritization, resourcing, and timely delivery of this work within a changing business environment
  2. Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals
  3. Partner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution and prioritization
  4. Participate in technical design and strategy
  5. Lead and guide engineering practices to sustain a high-performance team
  6. Integrate security in a constantly evolving environment where process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  7. Build, cultivate, and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional partners to enable the team to effectively and efficiently execute on project work
  8. Hire, grow, and build a high-performing team to achieve the team’s mission
  9. Work across partners in Product Management, Data Science, and Data Engineering to design and iterate on metrics and goals related to attack enumeration and detection coverage and validation

Requirements

  1. BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience in Security
  2. 8+ years of experience in Security or Software Engineering, including 3+ years of hands-on technical management in security engineering or security software engineering in product-driven environments
  3. Proven track record of supporting security research, engineering, or other technical teams
  4. Demonstrated experience in working across organizational boundaries to achieve company-wide impact
  5. Experience leading and managing complex cross-functional programs
  6. Scripting experience with an interpreted programming language (PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
  7. Broad knowledge across security, systems design, offensive security, and detection engineering domains, 17. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  8. Background in security-focused software engineering, designing large scale systems and data pipelines, or in offensive security
  9. Expertise in one or more security domains such as web application security, Android security, and iOS security
  10. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  11. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  12. Broad knowledge across the Security domain, as well as deep focus in one (or more) areas such as vulnerability detection and prevention
