Job description
- Administer and optimize HPC job scheduling environments (e.g., IBM Spectrum LSF, Open PBS, or equivalent)
- Configure job queues, resource allocation policies, and scheduling strategies for diverse CAE workloads
- Install, upgrade, test, and support CAE applications and simulation tools in production
- Manage CAE licensing systems (e.g., FlexLM/RLM) and ensure availability
- Administer and maintain RHEL Linux environments across HPC clusters
- Automate OS provisioning/deployment and patch management (e.g., PXE, configuration management)
- Troubleshoot CAE, scheduler, server, storage, and high-speed networking (e.g., InfiniBand) issues
- Monitor cluster health, track incidents/outages, document standards, and perform root-cause analysis
- Develop scripts to automate monitoring, health checks, and routine administrative tasks
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Experience supporting engineering simulation/CAE environments end-to-end
- Strong skills tuning HPC scheduling and improving throughput and efficiency
- A practical approach to production support with minimal disruption to engineering teams
- Comfort working with Linux at a systems level and improving automation
Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * 3+ years of Linux systems administration experience (preferably RHEL)
- Hands-on HPC cluster and job scheduler experience (LSF/Slurm/PBS or similar)
- Proven CAE application support and integration experience
- Scripting proficiency (Bash/Shell/Perl or equivalent)
- OS deployment, patching, and system automation experience
- Enterprise fundamentals across servers, storage, and networking
Other Skills:
- Experience with CAE tools such as Ansys, LS-DYNA, Nastran, or similar
- Familiarity with high-performance networking (e.g., InfiniBand)
- Experience building internal tools/dashboards (e.g., PHP or web-based tooling)
