Embedded Software Engineer, Amazon Leo

Experteer Overview In this role you will advance the embedded software stack for Amazon Leo’s satellite constellation, enabling a 3GPP 5G networking experience over NTN with Open RAN-based management. You will work across hardware, software, and validation teams to deliver low-latency, reliable connectivity for a diverse set of customers. You’ll shape the software lifecycle from design to deployment and operations for spaceborne and ground systems. This is a mission-driven opportunity to influence how satellite-based broadband scales and performs in challenging environments. Compensation / Benefits * Develop embedded software for satellites and ground systems to operate, validate, and manage a 3GPP 5G networking stack * Participate in all SDLC phases including requirements, design, coding, testing, and coverage * Create embedded modules in C, C++, Rust or similar for 3GPP 5G/O-RAN protocols and interfaces * Work with Linux and RTOS environments to ensure robust real-time performance * Review hardware debugging artifacts and perform embedded software troubleshooting (bare-metal) * Contribute to design, reliability, and deployment of the satellite payload networking and management stack Tasks * 3+ years of non-internship software development experience * 2+ years in design or architecture of new/existing systems * Experience with C/C++, Python, Java or Perl * Experience with Linux operating systems * Experience with real-time embedded software development and robust design practices Key requirements * health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription) * 401(k) matching * paid time off * parential leave * RSUs and sign-on payments * comprehensive benefits package
