Lead Software Engineer

You’ll work closely with clients and engineering teams to design and deliver complex software solutions, while supporting strong engineering standards and helping develop other engineers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead engineers across complex software projects.
• Remain hands-on with software design and development.
• Build scalable, secure and high-performing applications.
• Work with cloud-native technologies and modern DevOps practices.
• Mentor engineers and support their technical development.
• Help drive strong engineering standards across delivery teams.

• Strong commercial software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java, TypeScript, Python, Go or C#.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

The role is suitable for engineers from frontend, backend or full-stack backgrounds, with a strong focus on both hands-on engineering and technical leadership.

• Salary between £60,000 - £75,000.
