Data Engineer

You’ll help modernise the existing data estate while building new pipelines and automating manual processes.

The current environment includes SAS, MicroStrategy and Power BI, with a new cloud data platform being developed using Microsoft Fabric. Experience with Snowflake or Databricks is also highly relevant.

You’ll work on projects including:

• Building and maintaining data pipelines
• Migrating legacy systems from on-premise to cloud
• Developing ETL and data ingestion processes
• Automating manual data processes
• Integrating data from systems such as EPOS
• Supporting DevOps deployment of data solutions
• Helping establish modern Data Engineering practices

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong Data Engineering and pipeline development experience
• Excellent SQL skills and extensive ETL experience
• Azure Cloud experience
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks or Microsoft Fabric
• Python scripting experience
• Awareness of DevOps; DevSecOps is desirable
• Experience working with large and complex datasets
• SAS programming experience is a bonus.
