Job description

As a Software Engineer at the Episcopal School of Baton Rouge, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that support our school’s operations. You will work closely with our IT team to identify and implement solutions that improve efficiency and streamline processes. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package., Design, develop, and maintain software applications for the school’s various departments and operations

  • Collaborate with the IT team to identify needs and develop solutions that meet the school’s requirements
  • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of software applications to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our software systems
  • Document software development processes and maintain accurate records of code changes
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on project progress

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
  • Experience with web development and databases
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plus
