job summary: Exciting opportunity with a fast growing and highly successful global manufacturing leader.

Seeking an experienced IT and/or Supply Chain Project Manager to lead various initiatives within our customer’s organization.

6+ month initial contract with potential to go 12-24 months

Work must be performed onsite at customer location.

Preferred location is Independence MO.

Alternate locations including Albertville AL, Fort Worth TX, Lagrange IL

This role will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership to drive project delivery in Data/BI and ERP. The ideal candidate brings strong skills in project execution, team leadership, resource and budget management, risk mitigation and problem solving, as well as the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast paced environment.

responsibilities: Responsibilities:

  • Lead end to end project management activities, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain core project artifacts with appropriate business and IT stakeholders, including but not limited to project charters, scope documents, detailed schedules, cost estimates, RAID logs, and status reports.
  • Manage internal and external resources throughout the project; ensure resource availability, alignment, and proper allocation in support of project timelines.
  • Monitor and measure project performance with established systems, metrics, and tools.
  • Provide timely updates on issues, risks, dependencies, and pending decisions; escalate to management as appropriate.
  • Manage scope and change control using defined PMO processes. Identify new project needs, assess impacts, and prepare action plans or change requests.
  • Develop implementation strategies that effectively support business requirements and ensure a smooth transition from development to operational readiness.
  • Report status and progress updates to leadership on a recurring basis.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure timely publication of meeting notes, action items, and deliverables in accordance with established schedules.
  • Perform additional project related duties as assigned to support PMO and organizational objectives.

qualifications: Required skills/experience:

  • 8+ years of project management experience leading Data/BI or ERP projects

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (waterfall, hybrid, or agile).

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including competing priorities and coordination across cross functional teams.

  • Experience handling project financials.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, MS Office, and Teams

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management or related fields.

  • Experience collaborating with vendors and/or third party service providers.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP certification HIGHLY preferred

  • Manufacturing and/or Transportation industry experience (Rail industry)
