Data Management Looker Analytics

Job description

Experience managing and supporting modern ecommerce analytics and data platforms. Hands-on experience with technologies such as: Looker Snowflake Shopify NetSuite Daasity Fivetran Other modern cloud-based ecommerce data platforms

Requirements

7+ years in BI/analytics engineering with production Looker/LookML experience (models, explores, derived tables, PDTs, access filters) - not just dashboard consumption 4+ years of advanced SQL in Snowflake or a comparable cloud warehouse (window functions, incremental merge patterns, query performance tuning) Direct experience with retail/ecommerce data models: order lifecycle, fulfillment, inventory, returns, customer/CDP data - ideally spanning a DTC platform (Shopify/BigCommerce/Salesforce Commerce) plus an ERP (NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) Experience working within a vendor-managed or templated ELT/transformation framework (Daasity, Fivetran + dbt, Matillion, or similar) - comfortable extending vendor patterns without introducing untracked one-offs Recent Retail / Ecommerce Experience

Recent experience supporting a retail, direct-to-consumer (DTC), or ecommerce business.
Preferred backgrounds include online retail, apparel, fashion, consumer products, and Shopify-based organizations.
Strong understanding of ecommerce metrics, customer behavior, and retail reporting.

Deep Looker / LookML Expertise Hands-on experience owning and managing the Looker semantic layer. Strong expertise in developing and maintaining: LookML Models Explores Views Derived Tables Persistent Derived Tables (PDTs) Access Filters and data governance controls Must have experience building and optimizing data models within Looker. Candidates whose experience is limited to dashboard consumption or report usage will not be considered. Startup / High-Growth Environment Experience

Recent experience working within a smaller, fast-paced company environment.
Comfortable operating with limited structure and taking ownership of projects.
Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities.
Candidates with experience primarily in large enterprise environments may not be the best fit.
