Join Barrow Wise Consulting, LLC today.Responsibilities: The Mainframe Developer will support Barrow Wise’s State of Illinois project and perform the following duties:Write, test, and debug codeCreate databases and manage dataCollaborate with team members on projectsUpdate and maintain existing programsWork with other departments to gather requirements and define project scopeEnsure software applications meet all performance and security standardsResearch new technologies and software development trendsProvide technical support and troubleshootingWriting technical documentationDemonstrate strong expertise in Mainframe IMS (Information Management Systems) and MVS (Multiple Virtual Storage)

Perform maintenance and project tasks for the Department staff.Perform duties in Springfield, IL.An ideal candidate has the following: U.S. CitizenshipBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related fields such as Accounting or Mathematics, or 6 years of equivalent knowledge, skill, and workplace experienceMinimum five (5) years of experience with IMS databasesMinimum five (5) years of experience with COBOL programming languageMinimum five (5) years of experience with TSO (Time Sharing Option) utilityMinimum five (5) years of experience with PANVALET (revision control and source code management system) utilitiesMinimum five (5) years of experience with Microsoft OfficeMinimum five (5) years of experience with FTP (File Transfer Protocol) and transferring data from IMS files into EXCEL spreadsheets.Minimum five (5) years of experience with analysis and system designJoin the team at Barrow Wise Consulting, LLC, for a fulfilling and engaging experience!
