Job description
Responsible for overseeing, supporting, and securing the district’s technology services. Ensures the secure and effective operation of all computer systems, related applications, hardware, and software while managing technology initiatives, user support, and IT projects. Supervises Help Desk Services, Field Service Technicians, and System Developers to deliver efficient, high-quality, and professional IT services district-wide., * Supervise Help Desk, Field Service Technicians, and/or System Developers to ensure timely technical support for network, software, and hardware issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues as needed.
- Manage user requests by analyzing problems and providing appropriate solutions.
- Monitor and improve processes, including documentation and user training.
- Develop reports on service requests, system performance, and trends, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Train staff on support procedures, ensuring high-quality service and adherence to standards.
- Plan, organize, and direct the work of Field Service Technicians, managing projects and technology resources for district initiatives.
- Oversee database administration, application support, and system integrations.
- Supervise installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of software, hardware, and IT peripherals.
- Support the development and deployment of enterprise systems across the district.
- Safeguard IT assets by implementing disaster recovery, backup procedures, and information security policies.
- Develop and enforce standards for coding, testing, documentation, and application performance.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and training to manage staff performance and professional growth.
- Lead technology planning and decision-making, including software acquisitions and system improvements.
- Collaborate with user groups to analyze business specifications and align IT resources with district needs.
- Promote communication and collaboration across IT teams to improve application and data performance.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations for data security and confidentiality.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected student and staff information.
- Stay current with industry trends by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and networking.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the district’s technology goals.

Physical Requirements:

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent coursework in a related field
- Four or more years of experience in system administration
- Understanding of writing SQL queries and stored procedures
- Strong project management and analytical skills
- 2 years of experience in teamwork and collaboration, with the ability to organize and coordinate the work of others, preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Understanding of student information and business software.
- Proficiency in Office products and core software loaded onto standard desktops
- Certifications such as CompTIA, A+, or CCNA are preferred
- Knowledge of computer hardware, including printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
- Valid Arizona Driver’s License with the ability to travel between sites
- Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Knowledge of and adherence to all policies, regulations, and rules
