GCP, We are offering a brand new contract opportunity for a seasoned Google Cloud Platform Architect to join a large-scale programme for our global client based in our Glasgow office. This is a 6-month initial contract on a daily rate of £450 via umbrella, with an ASAP start. Requirements

5+ years of production software engineering experience with strong system design and development skills
Hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience building and operating cloud-native workloads
Experience in cloud architecture, distributed systems, security, AI/ML, or platform engineering
Advanced programming expertise in Go and/or Python
Kubernetes platform engineering experience, including CRDs and API extensions
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals, multi-tenancy, and observability
Proven experience with CI/CD, automation, infrastructure as code, and deployment pipelines
Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, resiliency, and security
Practical use of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and technical leadership skills
