Systems Engineer, Global Accounts

Nutanix is seeking a visionary and results-driven Senior Systems Engineer, Global Accounts to partner with our largest and most strategic global customers. This role goes beyond traditional pre-sales engineering and requires a strategic technical leader who can drive transformational initiatives, influence executive decision-makers, and deliver innovative solutions across hybrid multicloud, AI, Kubernetes, and modern infrastructure. Serving as a trusted advisor to Nutanix’s Worldwide Global Sales leadership team and customer executives, you will create value throughout the sales and adoption lifecycle to shape the future of enterprise technology adoption.

About the Team

Reporting directly to the SVP, Solution Sales, you will partner closely with global sales leaders and cross-functional teams-including Sales, Product Management, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Engineering-to align strategic customer requirements with Nutanix technology roadmap. The team operates in a collaborative, outcome-driven environment focused on supporting Nutanix’s most critical global accounts and driving long-term technology partnerships.

Your Role

• Serve as the lead technical advisor for Nutanix’s strategic global accounts, leading technical strategy, solution development, and executive presentations for complex, transformational initiatives.
• Build trusted relationships with customer executives, architects, and technical decision-makers to influence strategic technology direction and long-term hybrid multicloud adoption.
• Provide deep technical expertise across Nutanix solutions and emerging technologies, guiding customers on AI, Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, and modern infrastructure.
• Partner closely with Sales, Product Management, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to align customer requirements with Nutanix strategy and product roadmap.
• Act as an escalation point, executive sponsor, and technical mentor, representing Nutanix at global industry events and supporting strategic opportunities worldwide with approximately 50% travel.

• 8+ years of technical pre-sales, systems engineering, or solution architecture experience supporting enterprise or global strategic accounts.
• Deep technical expertise across hybrid multicloud, Kubernetes, AI infrastructure, cloud-native architectures, and modern enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience engaging at the C-suite level, articulating business value, and shaping long-term enterprise technology roadmaps.
• Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success teams on complex projects.
• Strong technical leadership, coaching, and public presentation skills at executive briefings, customer forums, and industry conferences.
• Ability and willingness to travel globally approximately 50% based on business needs.

The OTE range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between € 120,000 and €180,000 per year.
