Database Platform Expert

Experteer Overview In this role you will architect and oversee diverse database platforms to enable Sanofi’s digital transformation as an AI-first organization.You will lead the design, implementation and operation of scalable, secure database infrastructure, collaborating with a global team to modernize platforms and reduce downtime.You’ll balance reliability with cutting-edge tech while staying compliant with industry standards.This is a high-visibility position that shapes how we manage data at scale and across domains.Compensaciones / Beneficios - Lead planning, design, implementation and management of complex database platforms - Ensure reliability, scalability and performance of database infrastructure - Drive modernization of platforms and influence solution choices - Ensure security controls and compliance with GDPR/HIPAA; participate in audits - Design for scalability, replication, clustering, disaster recovery and business continuity - Collaborate with DevOps to automate provisioning and maintenance (IaC, containers) - Implement comprehensive monitoring and incident response; lead root cause analysis - Maintain documentation and mentor junior team members - Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new tools and technologiesResponsabilidades - 10+ years of database administration experience across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and cloud databases - 3+ years hands-on experience with cloud DB services (AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) - Extensive certifications in one or more database technologies; DevOps certifications (Terraform, Ansible) or equivalent experience - Strong scripting/automation skills (SQL, Python, PowerShell) - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible - Excellent problem-solving, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills - Experience with change control, incident/problem management, CMDB/GxP validationRequisitos principales - hybrid work model (Barcelona hub) - health and wellbeing benefits - career development opportunities - competitive compensation - international collaboration - employee recognition programs
