Job description
We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to help build, scale and operate the platforms that power Curve’s products and services. Working closely with engineering teams across the business, you’ll support the infrastructure they rely on, improve reliability and security across our platforms, and champion best practices in site reliability engineering. You’ll build and maintain infrastructure through code, develop Terraform modules, explore and evaluate emerging technologies, contribute to incident post-mortems, and help drive a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll also play a key role in scaling Curve’s platform for millions of customers, improving observability, accelerating engineering teams through automation, and ensuring our services remain secure, resilient and highly available., Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion, supporting our customers, colleagues and communities. Requirements
- Experience deploying production-ready applications to Kubernetes clusters
- At least 2 years of experience working with a cloud provider such as AWS or GCP
- Experience defining infrastructure as code, ideally using Terraform
- Experience with a modern programming language such as Go or Python
- Strong troubleshooting skills across client, network, HTTP, server, database and operating system layers
- Experience working within Agile development environments and sprint-based delivery
- Ability to write clear, concise and effective technical documentation
- Passion for learning and staying current with cloud-native and software engineering technologies
- Experience collaborating with engineers, product managers and stakeholders across the business
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to deliver initiatives from concept through to launch
And it would be great if you had any of the following…
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform
- Experience supporting Kubernetes (EKS) environments and service mesh technologies such as Istio
- Knowledge of observability tooling including Prometheus, Grafana or Coralogix
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB or HashiCorp Vault
- Experience using GitLab, Flux or Helm within CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of PCI-compliant infrastructure design
- Experience working within a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment
- Experience introducing automation initiatives that improve engineering efficiency
- Experience evaluating and implementing new platform or infrastructure technologies
