Provide 2nd line support across enterprise storage and backup environments
Support and administer NetApp storage and Cohesity backup platforms
Investigate and resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within agreed SLAs
Handle Severity 1 and 2 incidents and contribute to root cause analysis
Administer NAS and SAN environments
Support VMware integration with NetApp
Configure and troubleshoot storage fabric switches and SAN zoning
Monitor storage capacity, performance, availability, and resilience
Identify potential risks and implement appropriate remedial actions
Plan and carry out storage software and firmware upgrades
Install and commission new storage and backup hardware
Raise and present change requests in accordance with established change processes
Maintain technical documentation and working procedures
Support continuous service improvement initiatives
Share knowledge and technical expertise with other members of the team

VMware, We are offering an onsite Storage Engineer role in Stevenage at £43,000 per annum within a secure, enterprise-scale environment. You will join an established team of 2nd and 3rd line engineers supporting a high-profile customer across multiple data centres. This is a hands-on infrastructure position focused on the support, administration, and development of enterprise storage and backup platforms, working closely with customers, stakeholders, and wider technical teams.

Experience across NetApp storage in an enterprise environment
Experience with NetApp storage hardware
Knowledge of NAS / SAN technologies and principles
Experience with VMware integration with NetApp
Experience with enterprise backup environments
Experience with storage troubleshooting and incident resolution
Experience working in IT Service Management / ITIL environments
Experience managing P1/P2 incidents and contributing to root cause analysis
Experience working to defined SLAs and KPIs
Experience with change and release management
Security clearance required
Experience with Cohesity, SAN fabric switching, zoning, storage upgrades, and multi-data-centre environments is highly advantageous
