Job description

Arm is hiring an experienced end-to-end Director, Technical Program Manager to join our Cloud AI Business unit and ensure the success of the Arm AGI roadmap.

Based in our Austin, Texas or San Jose, CA office, you will work with technical program managers and senior leaders from across Arm, acting as the central coordinator for a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.

Your experience as a program lead and strong bias for action will bring clarity, pace and accountability to Arm’s ambitious silicon roadmap.

Responsibilities:

You will lead the end-to-end program execution for an upcoming SoC in the Arm AGI family.

  • Establish and maintain the integrated program plan, including critical dependencies, resourcing assumptions, and delivery risks across hardware, software, systems, and product teams.
  • Drive timely cross-functional decisions on delivery approach, sequencing, resourcing, risk acceptance, and recovery actions within the agreed product scope and customer commitments.
  • Provide clear, fact-based reporting to senior business leaders on program status, trade-offs, risks, and decisions required.
  • Drive alignment across engineering, product, operations, and customer-facing organizations, ensuring decisions are made quickly and owners are held accountable for delivery.
  • Identify product-level risks and lead the development and execution of credible recovery plans.
  • Ensure the complete product-not only the silicon-is ready for deployment, including firmware, software, validation, platform enablement, documentation, and customer readiness.
  • Continuously improve Arm’s end-to-end development practices by applying lessons learned, strengthening cross-functional execution, and removing structural barriers to delivery.

Requirements

  • Significant experience leading complex, end-to-end silicon or systems programs through to customer deployment.
  • A track record of delivering large, multi-year programs involving diverse disciplinary teams spread through organizations.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor development lifecycles, including design, verification, validation, manufacturing readiness, software enablement, and product qualification at data centers.
  • Experience building and developing high-performing program teams, including coaching senior program leaders and raising execution standards across an organization.
  • Ability to lead through influence across large, globally distributed organizations, including teams outside your direct reporting line.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear, concise, and fact-based guidance to senior executives.
  • Aim to share success through relationship and coalition building. You see your own success through the progress of our extended team.
  • A record of identifying systemic delivery risks early and driving crucial action and recovery plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical subject area, or equivalent experience., Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, Coaching, Communication Skills, Computer Firmware, Computer Science, Continuous Improvement, Cross-Functional, Customer Relations, Design Verification, Documentation, Leadership, Legal, Manufacturing Software, Network Operations Center, Organizational Skills, Presentation/Verbal Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Product Lifecycle, Program Planning, Project/Program Management, Risk, Risk Analysis, Semiconductors, Software Validation, System-on-a-Chip (SoC), Tax Regulations, Technical Leadership, Time Management, Validation Testing, Writing Skills
