Our client, a leading global multinational information technology services and consulting company, is recruiting a Data Engineer to join their business in Spain. Position Title: Data Engineer Position Type: Permanent Start Date: ASAP Location: Madrid or Remote from Spain Contact: Bojan | ******* Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Python development with knowledge of Apache NiFi, Power BI and GCP to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions for data intensive and scalable applications. This role requires a strong understanding of data engineering principles. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based solutions. Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its data services, including Python, Apache Nifi, SQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server , BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer. Proven track record of designing and building scalable data pipelines and architectures. Experience with implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest data from various sources into GCP data warehouses like BigQuery or PostgreSQL or SQL Server. CI/CD with Git . Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and experience with database design and optimization. Strong programming skills in Python or other relevant languages. Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and big data processing frameworks. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus. Knowledge of machine learning workflows and tools is an advantage. Knowledge of Java is an advantage Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently. Leadership skills and experience mentoring junior engineers.
