- Translate security, compliance and regulatory requirements into practical security designs
- Develop and maintain security architecture patterns, standards and frameworks
- Conduct threat modelling, security assessments and risk reviews
- Advise clients on security governance, compliance and risk management strategies
- Support cloud security initiatives across AWS, Azure and GCP environments
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies including IAM, SIEM, CASB and container security solutions
- Produce architecture diagrams, design artefacts and security documentation
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure and security teams across the SDLC
- Support security incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience within Security Architecture or Cyber Security Consulting
- Strong understanding of security governance, risk and compliance frameworks
- Experience designing and reviewing secure cloud architectures
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure and/or GCP security services
- Experience conducting threat modelling and risk assessments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working with enterprise security technologies and controls
- Ability to balance strategic architecture responsibilities with hands-on security activities
- Experience supporting security programmes in complex enterprise environments
Desirable Experience for a Security Architect
- ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NIS/NIS2 or DORA
- Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), OT or IIoT security experience
- Security assurance, audit or compliance programmes
- Pre-sales, bid support or consulting engagements
- Security architecture reviews across large-scale transformation programmes
Certifications Required for a Security Architect
One or more of the following certifications is required:
- CISSP
- CISM
- CRISC
- CISA
