• DevOps, We are recruiting for an experienced Frontend Developer to join the Met Office on a long-term contract based in Exeter. This is a hybrid role with one day per week in the office and a contract length of 6+ months ongoing, offering a rate of £550-£600 per day. This is an excellent opportunity to work on modern digital services in a mixed Azure and AWS cloud environment, alongside product, design and technical teams.

• We require strong experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• We require experience developing and integrating with REST or internal APIs.
• We require experience working in Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
• We require experience with responsive and accessible frontend development.
• We require knowledge of UX/UI design principles and user-centred development.
• We require experience with automated testing and debugging.
• We require experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
• We require experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• We require experience collaborating with product, design and backend development teams.
• We require strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.
• Experience with PyGeoAPI is desirable.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence is desirable.
• Previous experience delivering digital services within Government or the wider public sector is desirable.
