Job description

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with 3+ years of experience building scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems. You will work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams to design and develop APIs, microservices, and distributed systems powering our platform.

The ideal candidate is passionate about clean architecture, performance optimization, and solving complex engineering problems at scale.

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs
  • Build scalable and fault-tolerant distributed systems
  • Optimize application performance, database queries, and system reliability
  • Collaborate with frontend, product, and infrastructure teams
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
  • Debug production issues and improve monitoring/logging systems
  • Implement security and data protection best practices
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

Requirements

  • 3+ years of backend development experience
  • Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages:
  • Python
  • Java
  • Go
  • Node.js
  • Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Strong understanding of databases:
  • MySQL/PostgreSQL
  • Redis
  • Experience with asynchronous systems, queues, or event-driven architecture:
  • Kafka
  • RabbitMQ
  • AWS SQS
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms:
  • AWS / GCP / Azure
  • Understanding of Docker and containerized deployments
  • Knowledge of system design, scalability, and performance optimization
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows

  • Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration
  • Exposure to distributed systems and high-scale applications
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK
  • Understanding of caching strategies and database indexing
  • Experience working in Agile development environments

  • Experience with Celery or background job processing
  • Knowledge of WebSockets or real-time systems
  • Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
  • Open-source contributions or personal engineering projects
