DevOps Engineer, Delivery Centre- Newcastle

As a Platform Engineer in Credera’s Delivery Centre capability, you’ll work as part of a close-knit team supporting one of our long-term client partnerships alongside architects, support engineers, and delivery leaders. You’ll have:

• The ability to work collaboratively
• A drive for self-improvement and learning new technologies
• Demonstrable experience in automating operations tasks with one or more scripting languages
• Experience with configuration tools such as GitHub/Jenkins
• Experience creating and/or maintaining production software delivery pipelines using common CI/CD tools
• Experience working with AWS
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Cloudformation)
• The ability to deliver defined work packages and tickets to agreed time and quality with limited supervision, following established processes and standards
• The ability to plan your own workload, contribute to short-term team planning, and escalate blockers promptly while proposing practical solutions
• A structured, methodical approach, applying established methods to identify and help resolve delivery issues and seeking guidance where needed
• Associate-level AWS cloud certification
• A willingness to support more junior colleagues and take ownership for implementing agreed improvements
• You will be required to hold active SC clearance for this role.

Desirable skills

• Experience automating operations tasks with one or more scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with configuration management tooling (e.g. Ansible).
• Experience working with additional public cloud providers (e.g. Azure or GCP)
• Cloud certifications in additional public cloud platforms (Azure or GCP)
• Experience supporting and operating production systems.
• Exposure to containerisation and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience using AI or Agentic techniques in application of the role through GitHub CoPilot, Claude Code, or equivalent.

The central hub for this position is in Newcastle, but we welcome applicants from across the North-East. We operate a hybrid working policy with an expectation of 60% in office time.
