Job description

  • Participate in transition planning and knowledge transfer activities to ensure a seamless handoff from the Transition Lead.
  • Assume day-to-day management of the Virtual Desktop Services workstream following the transition.
  • Lead planning, coordination, and execution of operational engineering activities.
  • Coordinate operational activities across Citrix and Microsoft virtual desktop engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action items, and work plans.
  • Facilitate transition planning, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness activities.
  • Track risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly status reports and executive briefings.
  • Coordinate customer meetings, technical working sessions, and governance reviews.
  • Monitor project performance, deliverables, and contractual commitments.
  • Collaborate with engineering leads to prioritize operational work and resolve resource conflicts.
  • Ensure project documentation remains current and complete.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives across the Virtual Desktop Services organization., * Willing and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Five or more years of experience managing enterprise IT projects or operational engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, endpoint engineering, or virtual desktop environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing risks, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong facilitation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting federal government or VA programs.
  • Familiarity with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, or enterprise endpoint engineering.
  • Experience supporting Agile delivery and operational service management.

Benefits & conditions

Compensation Range: The pay range for this position is $157-$160K annually. Kentro determines compensation by evaluating current government contracting and commercial market conditions, as well as the role’s specific requirements. Final salary placement within this range will be based on the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education, certifications, location, and security clearance level, where applicable., We offer competitive benefits package including paid time off, healthcare benefits, supplemental benefits, 401k including an employer match, discount perks, rewards, and more.
