Senior Fullstack Developer

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a top reinsurance client to help build a next-generation, AI-powered underwriting platform. This individual will serve as a technical lead while remaining highly hands-on, responsible for designing and developing full stack applications that streamline insurance submission intake, analytics, and underwriting workflows. The role will support a small engineering pod, partner directly with product and business stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping the platform’s architecture and future AI capabilities

• 8+ years of software engineering experience

• Strong React & TypeScript experience

• Strong Python backend development experience

• Full stack application development experience

• AI/LLM development experience (Claude, Gemini, etc.)

• Experience working directly with business stakeholders

• Experience leading technical discussions, architecture, and mentoring developers

• Agile development experience * Experience building agents, RAG solutions, or AI-powered workflows

• AWS or Azure experience

• Insurance/Reinsurance industry background
