Job description

Houston Physicians’ Hospital, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated Pre-Admissions Testing (PAT) Coordinator to join our esteemed team. As a Pre-Admissions Testing (PAT) Coordinator, you will play a vital role in upholding our core beliefs of value, integrity, continuity, accessibility, and community engagement. Pre-Admissions Testing (PAT) Coordinator at Houston Physicians’ Hospital The PAT Coordinator performs a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties relative to the operation of the preadmission testing unit. The PAT Coordinator ensures a professional and efficient operation of the department in providing quality patient care in the preparation of the patient for surgery. The PAT Coordinator must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide indirect care appropriate to the surgical patient population along with their family members and /or those that accompany the patient. The PAT Coordinator will act as the HPH Liaison for select Physician offices.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum experience: 1-2 years clerical or administrative experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical record experience preferred.
  • Computer knowledge: Microsoft
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced unit
