SOC Infrastructure DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud and on-prem capabilities. We need you to help us develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges.

As a platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll strengthen your skills using the latest hybrid technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform knowledge, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.

You’ll work with your team to recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll gain DevOps skills and experience while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

• 5+ years of experience with engineering or infrastructure development
• 5+ years of experience developing Ansible scripts
• 5+ years of experience with Windows or Linux system administration
• 5+ years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
• 5+ years of experience with VMWare, VSphere, VCenter, Kubernetes, or Docker
• Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment
• Knowledge of developing, managing, and securing containers
• Ability to effectively execute tasks, resolve issues, and meet challenging schedules
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics, or 8+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience in research and development programs leveraging Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Experience writing, modifying, automating, and executing scripts, including with Python, Shell, Bash, and Ansible
• Possession of strong coordination, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Systems Security and Architecture-related Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
