Job description

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer with 3-6 years of experience to embed directly with client’’'’s portfolio companies, ship agentic software into live operations, and own the outcomes end-to-end. This is a Palantir-style FDE role at a software holding company - you’’'’re not writing decks, you’’'’re building running systems that compound across an entire portfolio. What will you be doing?

  • Embed with portfolio companies (portcos) to understand their operating model, earn operator trust, and identify the 2-3 highest-leverage workflow opportunities for agentic software.
  • Ship the wedge - build integrations, prompts, evals, and UI surfaces to land the first agentic loop at each portco using client’’'’s core platform.
  • Operate and tune deployed systems post-launch, adjusting autonomy tiers and handing off cleanly to portfolio ops once stable.
  • Serve as the technical face of client to portco GMs - building trust, setting expectations, and ensuring the system is seen as their leverage.
  • Bring patterns back to HQ and codify learnings into reusable playbooks that accelerate every future deployment in the same vertical.

Requirements

  • Full-stack proficiency: TypeScript or Python backend, React frontend, SQL - must be able to own end-to-end delivery solo.
  • Shipped production LLM/agentic software - real systems with evals, autonomy gating, and outcome tracking (not demos).
  • Prior embedded or customer-facing engineering experience (e.g., Palantir FDE, solutions engineer, or deploy-and-operate model).
  • Operator instincts - can read a P&L, translate business problems into technical wedges, and earn non-technical stakeholder trust quickly.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to New York, NY; comfortable with frequent travel to portfolio company sites.
  • 3 - 6 years of experience in full-stack, customer-facing software/product engineering OR forward deployed engineering
  • Visa sponsorship available Open to H1Bs and relocation
  • Hybrid work policy Minimum of 3 days in-office (4 days preferred). 2-3 days per week of domestic travel to portfolio company locations, TypeScript, Python, React, SQL, LLMs / Foundation Models, Agentic Workflows, Evals, Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Iceberg, Event-driven Systems
