Job description

We are seeking an Expert-level VDI Engineer to architect, design, and sustain virtual desktop infrastructure supporting critical mission operations. This role combines deep VMware vSphere and Horizon engineering with Tier 3/4 escalation support, working across multiple complex production environments and serving as the technical bridge between VDI platforms, system administrators, and stakeholders., Architect and design virtual desktop infrastructure, and provide Tier 3/4 support to system administrators to resolve VDI issues

Provide guidance on optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies

Offer endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks for virtual desktop related work

Maintain an advanced knowledge of administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure related technologies

Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders

Apply extensive technical expertise with full knowledge of other related disciplines

Provide engineering support for legacy and current versions of VMware products

Requirements

7+ years of experience with a BS degree, or a combination of years of experience and education

Progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer

Extensive familiarity with VMware vSphere virtualization

Extensive familiarity and experience configuring and managing the VMware (now Omnissa) Horizon EUC platform

Experience providing engineering support for legacy and current versions of VMware products
