Senior Appian Developer

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Senior Appian Developer to support a large-scale enterprise technology environment focused on secure application development, systems integration, and business process automation. This is a fully remote opportunity for a highly skilled Appian professional who enjoys building scalable enterprise applications, driving workflow automation, and integrating complex systems across a secure environment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on Appian development experience and a strong background in application architecture, systems integration, database development, and secure software delivery. This individual will play a key role in designing and implementing enterprise solutions that improve operational efficiency and support critical business functions.

Responsibilities -Develop intuitive Appian SAIL forms, interfaces, and dashboards that provide a streamlined user experience. -Design and maintain Appian Record Types, Custom Data Types (CDTs), and enterprise data models. -Build end-to-end workflow automation solutions including approvals, notifications, case management, and business process orchestration. -Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise systems using REST and SOAP web services. -Create secure APIs and service integrations to enable data exchange across internal and external platforms. -Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions. -Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth, SAML, and certificate–based authentication. -Support application performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

5+ years of hands-on Appian development experience. -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). -Strong experience developing Appian SAIL Forms and workflows. -Experience building and supporting REST and SOAP integrations. -Advanced SQL skills including query development, stored procedures, database design, and performance tuning. -Active Public Trust or Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. -Security+ CE certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 certification) preferred., Appian Certified Senior Developer or Lead Developer certification. -Experience with Appian Data Fabric. -Experience integrating Appian with ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, or similar enterprise platforms. -Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, or Center of Excellence (CoE) environments. -Java or JavaScript experience for custom plugin development.
