Job description
AI/ML & LLM Systems: RAG architectures, agentic AI frameworks, semantic search, ML pipelines, TensorFlow, scikit-learn Cloud & Infra: GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Pub/Sub), Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform Languages: Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Java (Spring Boot) Backend & Integration: Microservices, REST/GraphQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, GCP Pub/Sub, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis Production Excellence: SRE practices, incident response, RCA, observability (DataDog, Sentry, New Relic), distributed tracing Compliance: HIPAA, PCI-DSS, RBAC, JWT security Customer-Facing: Escalation management, troubleshooting, stakeholder communication under pressure
Work setup: 100% Remote role supporting Google enterprise customers.
Reason for opening: Direct delivery lifecycle ownership embedding AI solutions into customer systems.
Deliverables: End-to-end implementation of GECX agents, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and automated evaluation frameworks., Forward Deployed Engineers are embedded directly with enterprise customers and serve as their primary technical point of contact across the full delivery lifecycle. FDEs own the relationship as much as the technology - translating business needs into AI solutions, anticipating blockers before they surface, and communicating progress with clarity to both executive sponsors and engineering teams. This is a customer-facing role where technical excellence and outstanding communication are equally non-negotiable.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead stakeholder workshops, ask the right questions proactively, document requirements before the customer thinks to ask, and establish trust from day one.

Translate business needs into conversation flows, escalation paths, and agent skill boundaries, presenting options clearly to all sponsors and teams.

Implement GECX agents end-to-end including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, API integrations, and GCP infrastructure while proactively flagging scope risks.

Build automated evaluation frameworks, define acceptance criteria with the customer, and communicate quality status transparently to avoid go-live surprises.

Lead production deployments with clear cutover communications to all stakeholders and brief executive sponsors proactively before they ask.

Stay embedded through stabilization, surface performance insights, communicate incident status in plain language, and train customer teams to own their GECX agents.
Requirements
Expectations: Must be comfortable leading stakeholder workshops and presenting architectures to both executive sponsors and engineering teams.

DISQUALIFIERS
Lack of experience building and shipping unsupervised AI agents in production.
Weak communication skills or inability to interface directly with enterprise clients/executives.
No hands-on engineering experience within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem., Python Engineering & REST APIs (5+ years preferred)

GCP Cloud Infrastructure & GECX Suite (3+ years preferred), The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who translates architecture to executives and debug logs to engineers seamlessly on the same day. They are proactive by default, customer-first minded, and have a proven record as a full-lifecycle owner who has shipped agents running unsupervised in production. They bring deep expertise as a RAG practitioner and are fully fluent in Vertex AI, Cloud Run, BigQuery, and IAM.
