Job description

As a Software Development Engineer on the Partner Payments and Reporting teams, you will design and build scalable backend services that process streaming data at massive scale, handling payment calculations and royalty distributions for music partners across multiple countries. You will develop and maintain data pipelines that gather, enrich, and transform data from multiple internal systems to generate accurate external datasets and reports for content partners. You will build end-to-end reporting platforms including critical data validations, data lakes, delivery systems, and audit mechanisms to ensure payment accuracy and completeness. You will be solving distributed system challenges involving big data processing, working at the limits of scale to handle billions of play activities and financial transactions.

You will collaborate across multiple teams including technology, business, and operational stakeholders to deliver projects that support music licensing requirements, and contribute to platform innovation by building new systems from the ground up that anticipate future music licensing demands and enable continued business agility, using Gen AI technologies. You will do this while ensuring data quality and reliability as the last line of defense between Amazon and external music partners, maintaining the trust of labels, publishers, and collection societies worldwide

About the team Come join a team that’s building next generation business and financial automation tools to support licensing and payment business obligations, leveraging the best in full-stack AWS technologies. We build critical systems to compute royalties, disburse payments and provide analytical reporting to digital content partners, worldwide.

Our team develops systems that simplify and automate complex royalty payment and accounting rules, allowing us to eliminate financial risk and focus on delighting our customers. We strive to hold a high bar in paying our content partners accurately, completely and on-time.
