Job description

  • Work directly with customers, data center teams and manufacturing teams to understand and analyze hardware quality issues.
  • Partner with internal hardware and software teams and external vendors to triage, root cause and fix hardware quality issues.
  • Lead systemic changes to drive continuous improvement in hardware design, validation and deployment with the goal of preventing future quality issues.
  • Present to Directors and VPs inside and outside of Google.

Requirements

Experience owning outcomes and decision making, solving ambiguous problems and influencing stakeholders; deep expertise in domain., * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience working on hardware quality within a data center or IT environment.
  • 5 years of experience in technical leadership.
  • Experience with data center and enterprise hardware (servers, storage, networking and AI systems), design processes and verification methodologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership.
  • Experience working with the cross functional engineering teams, supply chain team, and the Data Center team.
